Someone will be on hand at Trinity Dome this Saturday (the 21st) from 10:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. to give short tours and answer questions.
Scroll down for directions -- CLICK THE MAP FOR A LARGER VIEW:

To get there from Highway 50, turn south on Cottage Street -- it's halfway between the Wal-Mart and Holiday Inn streets. Then follow Cottage Street South for four blocks. When you reach the intersection with Dartmouth Street, Cottage will jog to become Center Street -- and Trinity Dome will be to your left.
We hope to see you soon!

Since Monolithic's article came out we've had LOTs more visits to the site, and a couple folks pointed out that some of the large pics were hard to load. In order to accommodate them (and reduce our bandwidth usage), we've reduced the file size on the larger images.
Those of you who might want to look at the high resolution pictures can still browse them here.

The Split Air Conditioner equipment arrived this last week and all looks in order. Steve Carlson from Steve's Heating and Air Conditioning in Akron will be coming later this week to install it.

There's not a lot to these little systems. We bought just about the smallest unit available. But considering the small size of the house, its general efficiency, the small amount of southern glazing and the intended windows covers -- it should be just about right.

There's a great article about Trinity Dome (and this site) over at Monolithic.com. It's very well written, and was certainly quite a compliment to have our work featured on such a respected outlet.

Many thanks to Freda Parker for the excellent write-up and to the fine folks at Monolithic for the opportunity to share our story. You can read the full article here.

Now that most of the behind-the-scenes work is done, we've been able to continue working on the drywall and other interior elements.

Here you can see the completed main wall between the living / dining areas and the bedroom. The door is now hung going into the bedroom as well. It's ready for tape and texture.

This view shows the door to the garage as well as the wall separating the two parts of the structure. You'll notice the sheet of bead board to the left of the door. This will serve as the backing on an in-wall mini-pantry.

The missionaries at the local LDS church were kind enough to help us out a little over Labor Day. Here you can see the cement board they installed below the living room window. It's now nearly ready for a coat of plaster. Thanks for your help guys!
